The federal government’s $52.2 million grant program for female founders is now in round two with $11.6 million allocated to funding the 2021 program.
The program aims to help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses with targeted support and access to funding assistance which is often difficult for female founders.
Grants of between $25,000 and $480,000 for female-founded start-ups are available to help scale female-owned businesses into domestic and global markets. The grants are awarded on a co-contribution basis. Applicants are encouraged to source contributions from industry partners. In general, the grant provides 50 per cent of eligible project costs, unless the applicant can meet additional criteria. Applications close on 22nd of April.
