5 minutes with… Lisa, dmca Client Services Manager

If you call our office, there’s a good chance you will hear lovely Lisa’s voice on the other end. Get to know more about Lisa Paterson, dmca Client Services Manager.

Tell us about what you do at dmca and your favourite thing about it.

My role as Client Services Manager predominantly focuses on managing our client workflow within the Accounting realm of the business, whilst also providing administration support to our Accounting Team.

What I’ve appreciated most about my time at dmca so far is the opportunity to connect with my colleagues and gain insight into the cohesive and collaborative way the team operates. It’s a privilege to work alongside such experienced professionals in this field. I’m also very passionate about providing exceptional customer service to our clients and strive to build strong relationships – I really enjoy the face-to-face interaction when clients come into the office and love having a friendly chat to get to know them better.

What are you most grateful for?

It probably sounds cliché, but without a doubt, I’m most grateful for my family and friends (and also my health). These three elements are key to my happiness in life and my ability to get through the tough times – without them, I’d be up that proverbial creek without a paddle!

What’s the best advice you have ever been given about money and finance?

To always live within your means, plus understand ‘Money IN vs Money OUT’!

What do you do outside work to unwind?

I love any opportunity to go camping, fishing, and/or 4WDriving. I also love a good movie or mini-series, getting outdoors to walk our adorable Kelpie dog, ‘Cobba’, and spending quality time with family and friends. (I’ve also been known for making a yummy Rocky Road which seems to have stood the test within the dmca office!)

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I’ve been a bit of an adventurist in my past, partaking in Bungee Jumping in Qld, and was also learning to Barefoot water ski back in the day (until I had a nasty stack, and then that was that!).

What’s the one thing you can’t do without (and why)?

My family – they are my rock. They accept me for all my flaws and glory and are just a mandatory requirement for me doing life. They make me laugh, they make me cry, and everything in between. (And sidenote…I also couldn’t do without partaking in a Bailey’s Irish Cream once in a while (must be on ice – delicious!).
